July 19, 2015: Author Event at Hickory Stick Bookshop, Washington Depot, CT. My healing from childhood rape took many years, and was a very complex process. After a breakdown at age 39, I was prescribed psychotropic meds, which I took for over 20 years. I was under the care of a psychiatrist for 26 years, and experienced a conversion during those years in therapy.
